Palm Beach, FL—March 15, 2011

GenSpring Family Offices, a market leader among independent advisors, announced today the hiring of Brett Scola. He joins GenSpring as a Family Wealth Advisor and is responsible for a wide variety of wealth management needs, including estate planning, tax, financial planning, fiduciary, philanthropy and family governance issues. Mr. Scola will work closely with a client's advisory team and other advisors outside of GenSpring to ensure that all aspects of a family's wealth management plan are closely coordinated.

About Brett Scola

Brett has worked in the professional and financial services field for approximately twenty years, most recently with PNC Wealth Management as a Senior Wealth Planner and previously with Wachovia Wealth Management as a Relationship Manager and a Wealth Strategist. Brett began his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he spent twelve years in the tax practice advising closely held businesses and high-networth individuals.

Brett is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation through the AICPA. Brett is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner. Brett has a BBA degree in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland and MS in Taxation from American University in Washington, DC. He is an active participant in the community as a board member of Friends of Friendship Park (aka Turtle Park) in Northwest Washington, DC. He is a Past President of Loyola University Maryland Alumni Association. He is a member of the Chairman's Council for the 2011 U.S. Open Championship Hospitality and an active member of several committees at Congressional Country Club.
