GenSpring's Nashville Family Office Welcomes Respected Estate Planning Expert to Serve Families Locally
PALM BEACH, Fla. – September 14, 2010

GenSpring Family Offices, a market leader among independent advisors, announced today the hiring of Jay C. Cloud. He joins GenSpring in Nashville as a Family Wealth Advisor and is responsible for assisting families with a wide variety of wealth management needs, including estate planning, tax, financial planning, fiduciary, philanthropy and family governance issues. Mr. Cloud will work closely with a client's advisory team and other advisors outside of GenSpring to ensure that all aspects of a family's wealth management plan are closely coordinated.

"We are excited to welcome Jay to GenSpring in Nashville," said David Neubert, President of GenSpring's Nashville family office. "He brings with him many years of experience of working with ultra-high net worth families on their estate planning needs and will further enhance our capability to serve our client families locally."

"As wealthy families increasingly seek independent advice, GenSpring Family Offices has emerged as a clear market leader among multi-family offices," said Jay Cloud. "GenSpring's refreshing approach to doing business reflects my own focus on working for clients' best interests, and I look forward to serving wealthy families throughout the Nashville area."

Once limited to a few of the world's wealthiest families, the benefits of working with a GenSpring family office are rapidly becoming known to a wider circle of ultra-high net worth clients. A market leader among family offices, GenSpring now serves more than 700 families in 17 countries. Unlike traditional wealth management firms, GenSpring's family offices combine comprehensive wealth management advice and service tailored to each client's needs and objectives.

About Jay Cloud

Before joining GenSpring, Mr. Cloud practiced law in Nashville, Tennessee, for 12 years, most recently as a Partner with Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP in Nashville, Tennessee, where his law practice focused on wealth transfer and wealth preservation planning for affluent families and closely-held business owners, including tax, estate, gift and charitable planning.

Mr. Cloud received his Masters in Tax Law (LL.M.) from the University of Florida College of Law, and his law degree, with honors, from the University of Arkansas. He is the current Chair of the Estate Planning Committee of the Nashville Bar Association and a member of the Middle Tennessee Estate Planning Council.
