Richard Dozer serves as Chairman of the Phoenix family office of GenSpring Family Offices. As Chairman, Rich is responsible for new client introductions, and helping to greater define and establish the GenSpring brand in the community.
Prior to joining GenSpring, Rich was co-founder and managing partner of CDK Partners, a real estate development and investment company. Prior to that, he served as President of the Arizona Diamondbacks from its inception in 1995 until 2006, and he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Phoenix Suns from 1987 to 1995, as well as President of the former America West Arena. From 1979 to 1987, he held audit manager and recruiting positions at Arthur Andersen LLP.
Rich is a leader in the Phoenix business community, and has extensive experience with various community organizations including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, United Way, and United Cerebral Palsy. In 2006, he chaired the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (“NICU”) Capital Campaign that sought to raise philanthropic contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations to underwrite the costs to renovate and build a new NICU for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Rich raised $17.2 million for the construction of the largest and most modern NICU in the country, setting a benchmark for neonatal care in the United States. In addition, he chaired the annual United Way Valley-Wide Campaign in 2004.
